Linear Seam (LS) Machines

LS Series

Bond’s LS Series is the optimum Friction Stir Welding solution for welding long, extruded, and stiffened panels into new products for ship decks, aerospace parts, bridges, heat exchangers, rail cars, and many other applications.

  • Modular base frames – configured at 2 to 20 meters long
  • Single or dual-opposing welding heads
  • Material handling options for loading extrusions and manipulating panels
  • Optional generic bed for movable, custom fixtures

LS Series systems can also be configured with a general-purpose work table that accepts custom welding fixtures for dual-sided welding of smaller components.

All of our standard welding systems are available with a long list of options and custom engineering to adapt systems to specific applications.
